Giclée Prints are Museum-quality Fine-Art reproductions, also called “Archival-Prints”. These artworks are made with an ultra-high-resolution inkjet printer, using the very finest archival inks and papers. These papers are acid free and consists of a 100% rag (cotton) base.
I have my artwork professionally photographed or scanned. My publisher/printer will adjust the color, so the prints will look exactly the same as the originals. These prints are generally referred to as digital reproductions or copies of original works of art.
I offer these prints as affordable alternatives to the more expensive originals. The giglée prints are hand signed unlimited editions, therefore I can offer them at lower prices.
The 12″ x 10″ print has a 1.25″ border all around the image. The image size is 7.5″ x 9.5″.
The print is hand signed “Baarns” on the right side underneath the image. The title “Sunrise” is hand signed and centered underneath the image.
About the image
This painting depicts a Piedmont Fox Hound puppy sleeping in the kennel. The morning light is touching his nose, making it itch, and one can sense that the puppy is about to wake up from a deep sleep. I enjoy painting sleeping hounds; I love the way the ears are draping over the big paws and the wrinkles in his face show resistance to the slowly increasing intensity of the light that will pull him into a new day.
This painting was accepted in the Society of Animal Artists 54th Annual Members Exhibition in 2014. It was also selected for the SAA Tour.
